Safeguarding and data
Closed by design. The teacher decides what is seen.
This page says what Minivox does by design and which documents we can give your safeguarding lead and data protection officer. It does not say anything we cannot show you.
By design
Six things that are true of the platform today.
Closed
No public feed, no search, no discovery and no sharing outside the school. A pupil sees their class and their teacher.
Approved first
Nothing a pupil submits is visible to anyone else until their teacher has heard it and approved it.
No social mechanics
No likes, no comments, no follower counts, no feed ordered by an algorithm.
Private by choice
A pupil can keep any piece of work between themselves and their teacher.
No advertising, no sale of data
No third-party sharing for marketing. Ever.
School-managed accounts
The school controls who is on the platform and can remove a pupil or their work.
Documents
What we provide on request.
- Safeguarding policy
- Privacy notice for pupils and parents
- Data processing agreement, naming the school or trust as data controller and Minivox as processor
- Sub-processor list, including hosting and the AI provider
- Data retention and deletion terms
[Internal: each document must exist as a file before this list goes live. Cut any that do not.]
About Voxi
A first response, before the pupil sees it.
Voxi gives a first response to a pupil's work against the task their teacher set. The teacher sees it before the pupil does and can change it.
[Internal: line on the AI provider's terms, data residency and training waits on the written terms. Do not publish without it.]
